Biography
Emma Byrne earned her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Languages at the University of Limerick, Ireland, where her studies focused on Irish, French and Spanish. During the course of her studies, Emma taught English in Bilbao, Spain and also spent a semester at Université Rennes 2 in France, where she studied Breton as part of her program.
Her areas of interest include Irish language grammar, dialects and literature, and minority language rights.
Emma is a keen traditional Irish musician, playing the Irish flute and tin whistle, and holding a Diploma from the London College of Music.
