Internships
Advanced majors and minors in Hispanic Studies or Spanish for International Service are invited to participate in the internship program, which involves service in the Spanish-speaking community in the Washington, D.C. area. If interested, contact the Spanish advisor, Dr. Charmaine McMahon (mcmahonc@cua.edu), about requirements and, upon permission, will formally register for Spanish 495. When completed successfully, the student will receive 3 credit hours.
Spanish Club
We are committed to not only learning about the languages and cultures of the Hispanic World, but seeing, tasting, and feeling it. Since we started the club we have watched movies from Latin America; enjoyed theater outings in D.C.; eaten at authentic Spanish restaurants; co-hosted events, and helped students in Spanish by running a weekly "tertulia".
